The market here
A small oil-heated share in absolute terms, concentrated in the rural southeast and in older housing outside the gas-served corridors. Propane is the bigger off-grid fuel here.

The state survey and the federal print
Ohio points at the EIA weekly state series. Where a state runs its own dealer survey it usually samples more dealers than the federal collection does in that state, so the two figures will not match exactly and neither is wrong. Use the state survey to sanity check a quote in the week you order, and the federal series to compare across states.

Help here runs through Ohio Home Energy Assistance Program. Applications go to the state, never to the federal office, and for a delivered fuel the benefit is normally paid to a participating dealer against a delivery rather than to the household.
